Orders at any hour

Stores order when they need to, not only when the sales rep comes by.

The problem

Orders were only taken during the sales rep’s visit, 5 to 8 minutes per store, and anything missing waited for the next visit.

The solution

A messaging assistant that takes orders at any hour, enters them in the distributor’s system and reminds each store to order before its delivery.

171orders taken by the assistant from Sep 1 to Oct 21, 2026
01 · The impact
2×cases per day: 15 in September and 31 in October
+35%order size at repeat stores: MXN 1,288 vs. MXN 955
14 ha month of sales-rep time no longer spent taking orders (estimate)
02 · How does it work?
THENBY HAND
  1. 01The sales rep visits the store
  2. 02Takes the order on a device: 5 to 8 minutes
  3. 03If something is missing, the store waits for the next visit
NOWAUTOMATED
  1. 01The day before delivery, the store gets a reminder
  2. 02It sends its order whenever it’s convenient
  3. 03The assistant builds it from the store’s catalog and prices
  4. 04The order lands in the distributor’s system
When the assistant can’t resolve it
  1. Changes, cancellations and questions go to the distributor’s service line
  2. If an answer fails, a backup assistant replies
  3. If the process fails, our support team gets an alert
The channel adds, it doesn’t replace: the sales rep and the phone are still there

Coming next: a follow-up queue in the dashboard with conversations and carts left unfinished.

03 · Your team’s dashboard

The distributor’s team sees the day’s orders, ongoing conversations and the stores that are due to order. From there they send reminders, enroll new stores and pull channel reports.

Simplified screen of the real dashboard. Counters as of Oct 21, 2026; the rows are illustrative.

04 · How did it unfold?
  1. Mar 2026Project kickoff
  2. May–AugTests with a small group of stores
  3. Sep 1Goes live with the first stores
  4. Sep–OctStores join every month: 98 enrolled as of Oct 21
  5. NextPhased rollout toward 2,000 stores
05 · When do orders come in?

Each block is 1 in 100 orders. After hours means weekdays before 8 am or after 6 pm, Saturday after 2 pm, and Sunday; that’s why some cyan blocks sit inside the band. Share of 171 orders from Sep 1 to Oct 21, 2026; each block’s hour is approximate.

06 · Do stores use it?
Already orderingEnrolled, not ordering yet

74 of 98 enrolled stores have already ordered through the channel; 34 reorder, at a median of once a week.

07 · Do they stay active?

A comparison between groups on a single date (Oct 13, 2026), not a before-and-after comparison.

What’s nextMore stores, phased in

Stores join the channel every month. Restock alerts and a per-order rewards program are already built, waiting to be switched on.

To be clear
  • It’s live in 98 of 2,404 active stores, in a phased rollout.
  • The first stores were not chosen at random; they may be among the most active.
  • Part of October’s growth comes from stores that joined that month.
  • The 14 hours are an estimate: channel orders times the 5 to 8 minutes a sales rep took to enter each one.
  • The no-purchase comparison is between groups on a single date, not a before-and-after comparison. Amounts are recorded orders, not collections.
